2011 Afro-Punk Festival

The Afro-Punk Festival will be returning to Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park for it’s seventh year on August 27th-28th. This year however, the festival will be free thanks to sponsorship—including Nike, Beats By Dre, Boost Mobile, Harley Davidson, and Sesac. In addition to already announced artists including Cee-Lo Green and Santigold, the line up will include artists such as Gym Class Heroes, Das Racist and many others. A full lineup for the festival is listed below.

Some of NYC’s best food trucks and vendors have been brought in to incorporate food from all over the boroughs. Also, Afro-punk has invited Harley-Davidson, Brooklyn Black Bike scene documentaries, among other names to display a show of custom bikes that were created by riders in the NYC area.
