NMoH's 2010 Hall of Hip-Hop Awards

untitled-21
The National Museum of Hip-Hop (NMoH) announced their Hall of Hip-Hop Awards for 2010.

The awards, which will be televised this year, will honor the elements of emceeing, production, fashion, graffiti art and more, acknowledging the icons of each section respectively.

NMoH President Craig Wilson mentions that the many pioneers of this hip-hop game have not yet been paid their dues, despite the attempts by such aired programs like the Grammys.

According to AllHipHop.com, Wilson explained, "The Hall of Hip-Hop will exist as the first true beacon of homage for those who created and pioneered this great culture we call Hip-Hop." He went on to point out, "[It's] a testament to the prominence of the many who helped spawn this phenomenon but have been long since forgotten via contemporary commerical/corporate interests. We have developed an Induction Committee with enough experience to develop a system that will be world class."

Former Hip-Hop artist Andre Harrell, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President Terry Stewart, and Grammy Museum President Bob Santelli are among the committee that wil devise this system.

April 6, KRS-One and Chuck D will host the NMoH's "Hip-Hop Immortal," an invitation only even from New York's M2 Ultra Lounge on 530 West 28th Street.

Grandmaster Flash will DJ at the show and VIP gift bags, a raffle and auction will accompany the live performances as well.
